#kawepydi Zoo Trip

السلام عليكم,

So, the first outing that I had in 2015 is a visit to the Singapore Zoo with my two fabulous friends. At first, we short listed a few places which was mainly, the Universal Studios Singapore, Adventure Cove, G-Max, the Reservoirs, the Singapore Discovery Center and the list goes on. So, its not really shortlisting. Nevertheless, we finally decided on visiting the Zoo. We visited the Zoo on a Wednesday, 7th January 2015. Since it was a weekday, the Zoo was rather empty. The queue for tickets was very short. It took us less than 5 minutes to purchase our tickets. The ticket cost $32 which includes admission to the Zoo. However there was another option which was to add another $5 for admission and a ride on the tram. Well, at the start, the three of us were determined to walk adventurously in the Zoo, so we took the ticket which includes admission only. Later on we realize, that a tram ride would be nice too, however it was too late. So, went we entered the Zoo, it began to rain. That didn't stop us from seeing the animals, because luckily we brought ponchos. We chose ponchos over umbrella because it feels more right to be in a poncho while standing in front of an animal instead of holding an umbrella.  So we saw many kinds of animals, from four-legged animals to two-legged and to non. It was definitely a nice feeling to see the animals because, its been awhile since I bring myself out to see the world. Plus its not something you can see everyday. I mean, do you see lions everyday ? Like real lions. So after looking at otters to naked mole rats to snakes to cats to many other species, we went to watch the animal shows. To be precise, we watch two animal shows, which was the "Rainforest Fights Back Show" which was at 2.30 pm (second timing) and "Elephants at Work and Play Show" which was at 3.30 pm (second timing). Each shows were about 15 to 20 minutes. Personally I preferred the Elephant Show, cause it was way interesting and entertaining compared to the "Rainforst Fights Back Show" as that show merely showcased different small animals which includes snakes and birds. So after we watched these two animal show, we continued walking and looking at zebras, lions, tigers, giraffe and many other animals. By then, it started raining again, but that didn't stop us from walking around the Zoo. So we finally finish walking around the Zoo, and it was about 5.00 pm.  We then contemplate whether we should be dinner at food outlets at the Zoo or somewhere in the east side. We decided to have dinner at Changi City Point, because we wanted to cab back and escape from pick hours which starts from 6.00 pm everyday. So all in all, we spend about 4 to 5 hours in the Zoo and we headed back to the East side to have dinner. With that, our day finally came to an end and that was definitely a good start to 2015.
